Abstract
The title compound was prepared by mixed aldol condensation of 2-ethylhexanal and acetone,
double bond hydrogenation, aldol autocondensation of the resulting saturated ketone and final
double bond hydrogenation. It is identical with the ketone C22H440 previously isolated from
new Kelex 100 which was erroneously assigned a furoquinoline structure.
