Abstract

Numerical simulations were carried out for the Aharony model of the insulating phase in high-T c superconductors. The Aharony model is found to give an adequate description for low doping. The model and its relation to superconductivity are discussed. In particular, the question of a magnetic gap in the larger doping regime corresponding to the superconducting phase is considered.
