The cystostatic effects were established of 5 new classes of compds., e.g. (Me2N)2CH2, (EtSCH2NMeCH2)2, Me2NCH2S2CNMe2, N,N'-bis(ethylthiomethyl)imidazolidine, and 1,4,6,9-tetraazatricyclo[]dodecane. The tests were carried out on the Ehrlich ascites tumor in mice. The compds. probably act via alpha -amino alkylation of biol. important substrates. With the compds. 70-90% of the animals survived for >=60 days while the controls had a mean life of 15 days.
