Zusammenfassung
Eu₂[Pt(CN)₄]₃•18H₂O compounds exhibit non-radiative energy transfer from the [Pt(CN)₄]²⁻ stacks to Eu³⁺. By high-pressure application the electronic states of the stacks can be tuned over several thousand cm⁻¹ which allows to adjust the conditions for resonant energy transfer to the Eu³⁺ terms ⁵D₁ and ⁵D0, respectively. Thus it is possible to identify donor and acceptor states as well as the transfer mechanism.
