Abstract

A sugar-binding polymer film capable of continuous sensingarises from the copolymerization of aniline and 3-aminophenylboronic acid. Its absorption spectrum between 500 and 800 nm undergoes large changes on addition of various saccharides at neutral pH, changes which are dependent on the saccharide concentration and are fully reversible.
