Structures in organisations to a certain extent consist of language. This becomes obvious by analysing social media. Contrary to verbal speech computer-mediated communication is non-volatile. But in some respect communication on social media platforms resembles verbal speech, nonetheless. This calls for close analyses of this kind of communication. Based on structuration theory and by combining Genre and Speech Act Analysis, this paper proposes a joint analytical perspective on communicative structure and action.
