Das Ziel dieser retrospektiven Studie war es, einen intraindividuellen Vergleich zwischen Standard- und Niedrigdosisprotokoll von CT-Angiographie-Untersuchungen der Aorta anzustellen, um ein geeignetes Niedrigdosisprotokoll zu etablieren. Bei Patienten mit CTA-Untersuchungen der thorakalen und abdominellen Aorta kann die Kombination aus automatisierter Selektion der Röhrenspannung und iterativem Rekonstruktionsalgorithmus die Strahlendosis um durchschnittlich 45,16% reduzieren, ohne die gewohnt hohe Bildqualität im Vergleich zum Standardprotokoll mit gefilterter Rückprojektion zu beeinträchtigen. Hierbei erscheint bei Verwendung der SAFIRE Version die iterative Rekonstruktion in Stärke 3 als die gefälligere Variante für Radiologen.

The purpose of this retrospective study was to intra-individually compare standard-dose and low-dose protocols of CTA-Scans of the aorta. The combination of automated tube voltage selection and the iterative reconstruction algorithm lead on average to a reduction of radiation exposure of 45,16% for patients that underwent a CTA-Scan of the aorta. The purpose of this retrospective study was to intra-individually compare standard-dose and low-dose protocols of CTA-Scans of the aorta.
The combination of automated tube voltage selection and the iterative reconstruction algorithm lead on average to a reduction of radiation exposure of 45,16% for patients that underwent a CTA-Scan of the aorta.
Low-dose image quality was not impaired when compared to the standard-dose protocol with filtered back-projection.
Iterative reconstruction (SAFIRE) with intensity 3 seemed to be the most pleasant version for radiologists.
