Abstract (English)

This dissertation analyzes the impact of economic uncertainty shocks on the economy. In chapter 2, I analyze the impact of economic uncertainty shocks on the number of U.S. initial public offerings. Chapter 3 illuminates the joint impact of uncertainty and labor demand shocks on the housing market. In chapter 4, I analyze the impact of uncertainty shocks on import flows.

Die Dissertation analysiert den Einfluss von ökonomischer Unsicherheit auf die Volkswirtschaft. Kapitel zwei untersucht den Einfluss von ökonomischer Unsicherheit auf die Anzahl der amerikanischen Initial Public Offerings. Kapitel drei analysiert den gemeinsamen Einfluss von Unsicherheits- und Arbeitsnachfrage-Schocks. Kapitel vier untersucht den Einfluss von Unsicherheits-Schocks auf den Import.
