In summary, the present work provides a variety of potential single source precursors for the synthesis of group 14 element pnictogenide nanoparticles (MxEy with M = Ge, Sn; E = P, As), which are stabilized by a β-diketiminato ligand that can easily be removed by acidic or basic reagents under mild conditions.
