Abstract (English)

This thesis describes the investigation of new reaction pathways and intermediates in the fields of organo- and photocatalysis, organometallic and inorganic chemistry using modern NMR spectroscopy. Chapter 1 gives a general overview of the different topics. Chapter 2 describes the implementation of a broadband pulse in heteronuclear 1D and 2D NMR experiments for uniform and simultaneous excitation of a large frequency range of up to 500 or 1000 kHz. Chapter 3 presents mechanistic elucidations of an unusual formation of conjugated enynes with a junction to cyclic nitronates in the field of organocatalysis. Chapter 4 describes the first direct and photocatalytic functionalization of white phosphorus to important organic triaryl and tetraaryl phosphorus compounds. Chapter 5 reports the synthesis and characterization of a novel phospha-bora-norbornadiene which, due to its P-B bond, is a masked frustrated Lewis pair and has been shown to be reactive toward triple bonds of alkynes and nitriles. Chapter 6 addresses the synthesis and characterization of a novel iron complex that can either add or split CO2 depending on the coordination of its chelating ligand. Chapter 7 describes the isolation and investigation of two novel gold complexes, whereby NMR could provide insights into the reaction processes in liquid ammonia. Chapter 8 presents the detection and characterization of the first transition metal-functionalized and simultaneously protonated silicon-Zintl cluster in solution using NMR. Chapter 9 summarizes all the results of this work.

Diese Dissertation beschreibt die Untersuchung neuer Reaktionswege und Intermediate in den Bereichen der Organo- und Photokatalyse, metallorganischen und anorganischen Chemie mithilfe moderner NMR Spektroskopie. Kapitel 1 gibt einen generellen Überblick über die unterschiedlichen Themenbereiche. Kapitel 2 beschreibt die Implementierung eines Breitband Pulses in heteronukleare 1D und 2D NMR Experimente zur einheitlichen und simultanen Anregung eines großen Frequenzbereichs von bis zu 500 oder 1000 kHz. Kapitel 3 präsentiert mechanistische Aufklärungen einer ungewöhnlichen Enyn-Bildung mit einer Abzweigung zu cyclischen Nitronaten im Bereich der Organokatalyse. In Kapitel 4 wird die erste direkte und photokatalytische Funktionalisierung von weißem Phosphor zu wichtigen organischen triaryl- und tetraaryl-Phosphor-Verbindungen beschrieben. Kapitel 5 berichtet von der Synthese und Charakterisierung eines neuartigen Phospha-Bora-Norbornadiens welches aufgrund seiner P-B Bindung ein maskiertes frustriertes Lewis-Paar darstellt und sich reaktiv gegenüber Dreifachbindungen von Alkinen und Nitrilen gezeigt hat. Kapitel 6 thematisiert die Synthese und Charakterisierung eines neuartigen Eisenkomplexes, welcher je nach Koordination seines Chelatliganden entweder CO2 addieren oder spalten kann. In Kapitel 7 wird die Isolation und Untersuchung von zwei neuartigen Goldkomplexen beschrieben wobei mithilfe von NMR Aufschlüsse über die Reaktionsvorgänge in flüssigem Ammoniak gewonnen werden konnten. Kapitel 8 präsentiert die Detektion und Charakterisierung des ersten Übergangsmetall-funktionalisierten und gleichzeitig protonierten Silizium-Zintl-Clusters in Lösung mithilfe von NMR. Kapitel 9 fasst alle Ergebnisse dieser Arbeit zusammen.
