Algebraic K-theory and descent for blow-ups

Zusammenfassung

We prove that algebraic K-theory satisfies 'pro-descent' for abstract blow-up squares of noetherian schemes. As an application we derive Weibel's conjecture on the vanishing of negative K-groups.
