Abstract (German)

In Zuge dieser Arbeit wurden wichtige Erkenntnisse über die Polyanionen der (Halb-)Metalle der 14. Gruppe, sowie der Alkalimetall-Thallid Phasen der Stöchiometrie 1:1 gewonnen.
So konnten neben der kristallographischen Untersuchung neuartiger Germanium-, Zinn- und Blei-Cluster auch Übergangsmetall-funktionalisierte Silizium- und Germaniumcluster isoliert und analysiert werden. Besonders hervorzuheben sind hierbei die Verbindungen [Ge9-Au-Ge9]7−, [NHCDippCu-(Ge9)]3− und [NHCDippCu-(Si9)]3−. Während in [Ge9-Au-Ge9]7− ein Goldatom zwei [Ge9]-Käfige über eta1, bzw. eta4 Koordination verbrückt, sind die Motive der Anionen in [NHCDippCu-(Ge9)]3− und [NHCDippCu-(Si9)]3− identisch. Hierbei überkappt ein NHCDippCu-Fragment die freie quadratische Grundfläche des Germanium-, bzw. Silicium-Cluster. Die zusätzliche Untersuchung letzterer mittels NMR-Spektroskopie lieferte Hinweise auf den ersten bislang bekannten gleichzeitig protonierten und Übergangsmetall-funktionalisierten Silizid-Cluster [NHCDippCu-(Si9)H]2−.
Im Bereich der 1:1 Alkalimetall-Thallid Phasen lag der besondere Schwerpunkt der Arbeit auf der Untersuchung der Phasenumwandlung des NaTl von der bei Raumtemperatur vorliegenden tetragonalen Phase zu der kubischen Phase, welche bei höheren Temperaturen auftritt. So konnte im Zuge Untersuchungen der Phasenumwandlungspunkt auf eine Temperatur zwischen 351 K und 355 K festgelegt werden. Zusätzlich wurde die Stabilisierung der tetragonalen Phase durch Bandstrukturrechnungen erklärt.

This PhD thesis presents important findings on the polyanions of group 14 (semi-)metals, as well as the alkali metal thallide phases with the stoichiometries 1:1. Translation of the abstract (English)

This PhD thesis presents important findings on the polyanions of group 14 (semi-)metals, as well as the alkali metal thallide phases with the stoichiometries 1:1.
In addition to the crystallographic investigation of new germanium-, tin- and lead-clusters, transition metal functionalized silicon- and germanium-clusters could be isolated and analyzed. The compounds [Ge9-Au-Ge9]7−, [NHCDippCu-(Ge9)]3− and [NHCDippCu-(Si9)]3− are hereby of particular note. While in [Ge9-Au-Ge9]7− one gold atom bridges two [Ge9]-clusters with coordinations of eta1 and eta4 respectively, the motives of the anions in [NHCDippCu-(Ge9)]3− and [NHCDippCu-(Si9)]3− are identical. Here, an NHCDippCu-fragment caps the free square-planar side of the germanium or silicon cluster. An additional investigation of the latter with NMR-spectroscopy showed signals belonging to the first known protonated and transition metal functionalized silicide cluster [NHCDippCu-(Si9)H]2−.
The emphasis of the thesis in the field of 1:1 alkali metal thallide phases lay on the investigation of the phase transition of NaTl, from the tetragonal structure, which exists at room temperature to the cubic phase, which emerges with higher temperatures. The investigations indicated a phase transition temperature between 351 K and 355 K. Additionally, the stabilization of the tetragonal phase could be explained through band structure calculations.
