Abstract (English)

The goals of this thesis were to gain a better general understanding of the formation of halocuprates(I) and of the relation between their structure and their luminescence properties. Extensive study of literature on the topic showed that the formation of certain halocuprate(I) complexes depends on the used solvent type and counterion. On the basis of compounds which contain mononuclear, isolated copper(I)-halide complexes a clear relation between their structure and their luminescence properties was found. Halocuprates(I) with mononuclear, isolated copper(I)-halide complexes that do not contain organic counterions with aromatic moieties always show a blue luminescence, while the luminescence properties of those with aromatic counterions depend on the luminescence of the organic counterions.

Ziel dieser Arbeit war es, zu einem besseren allgemeinen Verständnis für die Bildung von Halogenocupraten(I) und für den Zusammenhang zwischen ihrer Struktur und ihren Lumineszenzeigenschaften zu gelangen. Ein umfangreicher Literaturvergleich zeigte, dass die Bildung bestimmter Halogenocuprat(I)-Komplexe vom verwendeten Lösungsmitteltyp und Gegenion abhängt. Anhand von Verbindungen, die mononukleare, isolierte Kupfer(I)-Halogenid-Komplexe enthalten, wurde ein klarer Zusammenhang zwischen ihrer Struktur und ihren Lumineszenzeigenschaften festgestellt. Halogenocuprate(I) mit einkernigen, isolierten Kupfer(I)-Halogenid-Komplexen, die keine organischen Gegenionen mit aromatischen Gruppen enthalten, zeigen immer eine blaue Lumineszenz, während bei solchen mit aromatischen Gegenionen die Lumineszenzeigenschaften von den Gegenionen abhängen.
