Abstract

Autoimmune hemolytic anemias (AIHAs) may occur when specific autoantibodies react with red blood cell (RBC) antigens. Decompensated hemolysis and detectable autoantibodies against RBCs are classical findings. The autoantibodies preferentially react at 37 °C (warm autoantibodies).
