Abstract

DNA extraction from frozen blood clots is challenging. Here, the authors applied QIAGEN Clotspin Baskets and the Gentra Puregene Blood Kit for DNA extraction to cellular fraction of 5.5 ml whole blood without anticoagulating additives.
