Abstract (German)

Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Einfluss eines periodisch aufgeprägten starken repulsiven Potentials (einem sogenannten Antidot-Übergitter) auf den Ladungsträgertransport in einem HgTe-basierten dreidimensionalen topologischen Isolator.
Das Antidot-Übergitter wird hierbei durch Ätzen von periodisch angeordneten Löchern realisiert.
Das Übergitter kann dabei nur auf eine einzelne topologische Oberfläche aufgebracht werden oder den gesamten dreidimensionalen topologischen Isolator periodisch durchtrennen.
Aufgrund der hohen Probenqualität des Systems, auch nach der Nanostrukturierung, konnten in dieser Arbeit geometrische Resonanzen in einem dreidimensionalen topologischen Isolator beobachtet werden.
Die durchgeführten Experimente zeigen, dass es nur durch das reine Anätzen der Oberfläche des dreidimensionalen topologischen Isolators möglich ist Dirac-Fermionen einzelner Oberflächen eines HgTe-basierten dreidimensionalen topologischen Isolators im Nanometerbereich ballistisch zu manipulieren und entsprechend ein starkes Potential nur in einer einzelnen topologischen Oberfläche zu erzeugen.

This thesis deals with the influence of a periodically imposed strong repulsive potential (a so-called antidot superlattice) on the charge carrier transport in an HgTe-based three-dimensional topological insulator.
The antidot superlattice is realized by etching periodically arranged holes.
The superlattice can be applied to a single topological surface only or periodically intersect the entire three-dimensional topological insulator.
Due to the high quality of the system, even after nanostructuring, geometric resonances in a three-dimensional topological insulator could be observed in this work.
The experiments performed show that it is possible to ballistically manipulate Dirac fermions of individual surfaces of an HgTe-based three-dimensional topological insulator on the nanometer scale by etching the surface of the three-dimensional topological insulator and, in consequence, to generate a strong potential in a single topological surface.
