Abstract (English)

The present PhD thesis demonstrates the further development of the endocyclic ring opening of cyclopropanated bicycles/fused bicycles which has first been described in 2019 by Reiser and co-workers who demonstrated that this strategy allows for a facile access to highly sub- stituted, arylated dihydropyridines and 2H-pyrans. In particular, this thesis improved upon the overall efficiency of the process as well as increased the substrate diversity both for cyclopropanes as well as coupling reagents.
