Bilingualismus gewinnt aufgrund der zunehmenden Globalisierung und der immer stärker werdenden Migrationsbewegungen zunehmend an Bedeutung. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird die Sprache zweier Generationen deutsch-polnisch bilingualer SprecherInnen untersucht. ‘Generation Polen’ ist vor dem Zweiten Weltkrieg in Polen aufgewachsen und spricht Deutsch als Erst- und Polnisch als Zweitsprache, während ‘Generation Deutschland’ nach dem Krieg in Polen aufgewachsen und im Erwachsenenalter nach Deutschland ausgewandert ist und dort das Deutsche erlernt hat. Anhand sprachbiographischer Interviews, die mit den SprecherInnen beider Generationen durchgeführt wurden, werden Replikationen der Kontaktsprachen in den jeweiligen Varietäten deutsch-polnisch Bilingualer im Bereich der Verbalphrase genauer untersucht und gruppiert. Für die Analyse der Konstruktionen und der Mechanismen, die der Replikation zugrunde liegen, wird die Konstruktionsgrammatik herangezogen, die bisher kaum auf Sprachkontaktphänomene angewandt wurde. Diese Theorie erweist sich durch die Verknüpfung der Bedeutungsebene mit der formalen Realisierung als gewinnbringend für die Untersuchung der bilingualen Konstruktionen.
Die Analyse zeigt, dass zumeist in beiden Generationen ähnliche Konstruktionen repliziert werden, wobei sich allerdings die Verteilung auf die Kontaktsprachen und die Häufigkeit der Replikationen in bestimmten Konstruktionen deutlich unterscheiden. Gründe hierfür können in soziolinguistischen Faktoren, die aus den Interviews bekannt sind, wie beispielsweise der Umgebungssprache, gefunden werden. Anhand der Analyse kann von einer Attrition des Deutschen in der ‘Generation Polen’ ausgegangen werden. In ‘Generation Deutschland’ zeigt die quantitative Analyse eine deutlich höhere Varianz unterschiedlicher Konstruktionstypen, was auf die Rolle bilingualer Netzwerke für diese Generation zurückzuführen ist.

Bilingualism is gaining importance as globalization continues to expand and migration movements persistently rise. This study examines the language of two generations of German-Polish bilingual speakers. The ‘Generation Polen’ grew up in Poland before WW2 and speaks German as a first language and Polish as a second language, while the ‘Generation Deutschland’ grew up in Poland after the war and emigrated to Germany as adults, where they learned German. Based on language biographical interviews conducted with the speakers of both generations, replications of the contact languages in the respective varieties of German-Polish bilinguals in the area of verb phrases are examined and grouped more closely. The constructions and the underlying mechanisms are analysed within the theoretical framework of construction grammar, which has hardly been applied to language contact phenomena so far. This theory proves to be beneficial for the study of bilingual constructions by linking the level of meaning with the formal realization.
The study shows that similar constructions are mostly replicated in both generations, although the distribution across the contact languages and the frequency of replication in certain constructions differ significantly. Reasons for this can be found in sociolinguistic factors known from the interviews, such as the language of the environment. Based on the analysis, an attrition of German in the ‘Generation Polen’ can be assumed. In the ‘Generation Deutschland’, the quantitative analysis shows a higher variance of different construction types, which can be attributed to the importance of bilingual networks for this generation.
