Electronic spectroscopy of mols. in superfluid helium droplets is a powerful tool for investigating the host system as well as the dopant system. Dispersed emission spectra of org. compds. in helium droplets have been investigated. One set of spectra reveal insight into the microsolvation of org. mols. in superfluid helium droplets. Another project investigates ESIPT of 3-hydroxyflavone. Emission spectra of the bare mol. and of 3-hydroxyflavone-water clusters reveal new results on the proton back transfer as well as on the influence of the water mols. on the ESIPT.
