On the curvature of algebraic hypersurfaces

Abstract

Using algebraic residue theory, we try to generalize a theorem of Chasles about osculating circles of plane algebraic curves to algebraic hypersurfaces over algebraically closed fields of characteristic zero. (C) 2009 Published by Elsevier B.V.
