Abstract

The apparent randomness of chaotic eigenstates in interacting quantum systems hides subtle correlations dynamically imposed by their finite energy per particle. These correlations are revealed when Berry’s approach for chaotic eigenfunctions in single-particle systems is lifted into many-body space.
