Abstract (English)

This thesis reports on the synthesis and functionalization of tetrahedral polypnictogen ligand complexes bearing homo- and heteropnictogen ligands. Chapter 1 provides a literature overview about polypnictogen ligand complexes and their reactivity. Chapter 2 lists the research targets for this thesis. Chapter 3 reports on the coordination chemistry of homo- and heterodipnictogen complexes towards ...

Chapter 3 reports on the coordination chemistry of homo- and heterodipnictogen complexes towards TlI salts. Chapter 4 discusses the catenation of homo- and heterodipnictogen complexes with carbon and tin based electrophiles. Chapter 5 points out the distinct reactivity of a diphosphorus complex with differently substituted phosphenium ions. In Chapter 6, pnictogenium ions are used as a powerful tool for the synthesis of three- and five membered interpnictogen chains starting from hetero-dipnictogen complexes. Chapter 7 describes a general approach for the synthesis heteropnictogen rings starting from hetero-dipnictogen complexes. Chapter 8 compares the multifunctionalization of two isolobal complexes, providing access to completely functionalized intact polyphosphorus ligands. The redox reactivity of a polyarsenic ligand complex is investigated in Chapter 9. Finally, Chapter 10 summarizes the results obtained within this thesis.
