Research was being done on the professional situation of foreigners living in Bavaria. The employees were of Italian, Greek, Turk, Jugoslawe and Austrian nationality. The investigation was dealing with the chances of foreigners on the labour market and was trying to find out whether the individual groups examined were in a dependent working relationship, self-employed of jobless.
Besides stocktaking the investigation was aiming at giving insight into the process of professional mobility of foreigners in Bavaria.
Very important for the research work was to subdivide the groups of people employed into single groups. Always has the investigation been trying to seperately check women and foreigners of the second generation as well as gaining 'nationality specific' results.
