The ground state of the hubbard model in the projector quantum monte carlo algorithm (PQMC) is a linear combination of Slater determinants. The influence of negative scalar products of slater determinants on quantum mechanical expectation values was analyzed by comparing the results with alternative calculations of the ground state. An implementation of the PQMC with a multi precision library demonstrated, that the negative signs cannot only be explained with numerical instabilities of the floating point calculations. Furthermore the thesis shows in detail distributions over monte carlo contributions to quantum mechanical expectation values. This kind of presentation makes clear that an expected super conducting correlation of the ground state is based on just a few single slater determinants with a large contribution to the particular expectation value.
