Abstract
The title compounds are not available by hydrolysis of the pertinent esters on a preparative scale. Therefore, they were prepared by base catalyzed condensation of dicarboxylic acid dichlorides or succinic acid monobenzylesterchloride, respectively, with dithranol (1).
