Abstract

A simultaneously protonated and functionalized silicide cluster [(NHCCu)-Cu-Dipp(eta(4)-Si-9)H](2-) was detected and characterized in liquid ammonia by NMR spectroscopy. Key NMR results were corroborated by theoretical calculations.
