Abstract (English)

The coordinative self-assembly of the Pn complexes [CpRFe(η⁵-P₅)] (CpR = Cp*, CpBn) together with Copper halides aiming to construct novel spherical supramolecules has furnished striking outcomes in the past years, concerning a variety of synthesized scaffolds and a resulting host-guest chemistry. This thesis investigates the influence of introducing various silver salts to this field. Thus, coordinating anions as SO₃CF₃⁻ and SO₃C₇H₇⁻ were used to support the construction of a complex scaffold based on pentaphosphaferrocenes and Ag cations. This approach brought fourth diverse discrete neutral or positively charged spherical scaffolds, partly acting as hosts for smaller guest molecules or aggregates. Furthermore, weakly coordinating anions, such as BF₄⁻, SbF₆⁻ and [Al[O{C(CF₃)₃}₄]]⁻, were investigated, as they can induce free coordination sites on the Ag⁺. This fact was exploited in three-component self-assembly processes by extending the system by fully flexible organic dinitriles NC(CH₂)ₓCN (x = 5 – 10) as potential linkers. Accurately considering the length of the linking unit, a row of cationic coordination polymers based on pentaphosphaferrocenes, Ag⁺ and linkers was obtained. Using linkers with x = 7 – 10 several representatives of a new class of compounds were obtained and characterized: supramolecular spherical host-guest assemblies connected by dinitrile linkers and acting as nodes in a cationic 3D network. Moreover, on offering the system P₄ molecules as potential guests in a four-component self-assembly, these could be selectively enclosed and released from the supramolecular nodes.

In den vergangenen Jahren lieferte die koordinative Selbstassemblierung der Pn-Komplexen [CpRFe(η⁵-P₅)] (CpR = Cp*, CpBn) mit Kupferhalogeniden zur Konstruktion von neuen sphärischen Supramolekülen beachtliche Ergebnisse hinsichtlich der Synthese von diversen Gerüsten und der vielfältigen resultierenden Wirt-Gast Chemie. Diese Arbeit untersucht den Einfluss verschiedener Silbersalzen auf diese Chemie. Daher wurden die koordinierende Anionen SO₃CF₃⁻ and SO₃C₇H₇⁻ verwendet, um den Aufbau von komplexen, auf Pentaphosphaferrocenen und Ag Kationen basierenden Gerüste zu unterstützen. Dieser Ansatz lieferte diverse diskrete, neutrale oder positiv geladene sphärische Gerüste, die teilweise als Wirte für kleinere Gastmoleküle oder -aggregate fungieren können. Des Weiteren wurden schwach koordinierende Anionen wie BF₄⁻, SbF₆⁻ und [Al[O{C(CF₃)₃}₄]]⁻ untersucht, da sie freie Koordinationsstellen an den Ag Kationen induzieren können. Dies wurde in Selbstassemblierungsprozessen von drei Komponenten ausgenutzt, indem das System um voll flexible organische Dinitrile NC(CH₂)ₓCN (x = 5 – 10) als potentielle Linker erweitert wurde. Unter genauer Berücksichtigung der Länge dieser Linkereinheiten konnte eine Reihe von kationischen Koordinationspolymeren basierend auf Pentaphosphaferrocenen, Ag Kationen und Linkern erhalten werden. Bei Verwendung der Linker mit x = 7 – 10 wurden einige Vertreter einer neuen Verbindungsklasse erhalten und charakterisiert: supramolekulare sphärische Wirt-Gast-Aggregate, die durch Dinitril-Linker verknüpft sind und als Knoten in einem 3D Netzwerk agieren. Wenn diesem System in einer Selbstassemblierung von vier Komponenten P₄ Moleküle als potentielle Gäste angeboten wurden, konnten diese zudem selektiv eingeschlossen und aus den supramolekularen Knoten freigelassen werden.
