Zusammenfassung
The equivalence of the norms of the German versions or the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Third Edition (WIE) and the Wechslei Adult Intelligence Scale-Revised (HAWIE-R) was tested in 63 subjects using a test-retest method This allowed for a direct comparison of both scales and an indirect comparison of the two standardization samples from 1988 and 2002 High con elation coefficients (56 <= r ...
Zusammenfassung
The equivalence of the norms of the German versions or the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Third Edition (WIE) and the Wechslei Adult Intelligence Scale-Revised (HAWIE-R) was tested in 63 subjects using a test-retest method This allowed for a direct comparison of both scales and an indirect comparison of the two standardization samples from 1988 and 2002 High con elation coefficients (56 <= r <= 94. Md = 84) indicated a high equivalence in content of both scales. Intelligence quotients (10) of the WIE were considerably lower than those of the HAWIE-R about five points for the verbal IO. ten for the performance IQ and nine for the Total IQ Similarly. in all subtests the WIE produced lower scaled scores with the amount of the difference dependent out the respective tasks The results correspond to the hypothesis of a general increase in IQ of the population over time (Flynn effect) The paper contains tables for the conversion of submit law scores and the three IQs from one test version to the other The tables were constructed with methods of equipercentile equating
