This thesis reports of various aspects of the coordination chemistry of phosphorus and arsenic based complexes towards coinage metal salts. The first part (chapters 3-5) deals with the reaction behavior of the tetrahedral complex [Cp₂Mo₂(CO)₄(µ,η²-As₂)] (1) with Cu(I) and Ag(I) salts containing weakly coordinating anions (WCAs) and the three component reactions of 1 with Ag(I)WCA salts and organic pyridyl linkers. In chapter 3 the reactions of the organometallic diarsenic complex 1 with the weakly coordinating Ag[FAl{OC(C₆F₅)(C₆F10)}₃] (AgFAl) and Ag[Al{OC(CF₃)₃}₄] (AgTEF), respectively are presented. Chapter 4 focuses on the synthesis of [Ag{Cp₂Mo₂(CO)₄(µ,η²-As₂))}₃][PF₆] and its coordination chemistry towards organic pyridyl linkers. The reactions of [Cp₂Mo₂(CO)₄(µ,η²-As₂)] with Cu(I) WCA salts is reported in chapter 5. The second part (chapter 6) presents the formation of the superdeficient supramolecule [(Cp’’Fe(η⁵-P₅))₁₂{CuNCMe}₈]⁸⁺ under weakly coordinating conditions. The unique structure of the sphere is discussed in terms of its vacancies, the inner cavity and its potential for further supramolecular reactions. The last part (chapter 7) displays the syntheses of the metallacycles [Cu₄(μ²-dppm)₄(CN)₂][X]₂ (X = TEF⁻ (2), BArCl⁻ (3)), their photophysical properties and the reactions of 2 and 3 with pyridyl linkers and the resulting luminescence properties. Finally, chapter 8 contains the thesis treasury and describes additional results which were obtained during the preparation of this work.

Diese Arbeit beschreibt verschiedene Aspekte der Koordinationschemie von phosphor- und arsenhaltigen Komplexen gegnüber Münzmetallsalzen. Der erste Teil (Kapitel 3-5) handelt von dem Reaktionsverhalten des tetraedrischen Komplexes [Cp₂Mo₂(CO)₄(µ,η²-As₂)] (1) mit Cu(I) und Ag(I) Salzen, die schwach koordinierende Anionen (WCAs) enthalten und von den Dreikomponentenreaktionen von 1 mit Ag(I)WCA Salzen und organischen Pyridyllinkern. In Kapitel 3 werden die Reaktionen des metallorganischen Diarsenkomplexes 1 mit dem schwach koordinierenden Ag[FAl{OC(C₆F₅)(C₆F10)}₃] (AgFAl) und Ag[Al{OC(CF₃)₃}₄] (AgTEF) dargestellt. Kapitel 4 fokussiert sich auf die Synthese von [Ag{Cp₂Mo₂(CO)₄(µ,η²-As₂))}₃][PF₆] und dessen Koordinationschemie ggenüber organischen Pyridyllinkern. Die Reaktionen von [Cp₂Mo₂(CO)₄(µ,η²-As₂)] mit Cu(I) WCA Salzen werden in Kapitel 5 erläutert. Der zweite Teil (Kapitel 6) beinhaltet die Darstellung des Supramoleküls [(Cp’’Fe(η⁵-P₅))₁₂{CuNCMe}₈]⁸⁺ unter schwach koordinierenden Bedingungen. Die einzigartige Struktur der Sphäre wird diskutiert, im Hinblick auf ihre Lehrstellen, den Hohlraum im Innerern und ihr Potential für weitere supramolekulare Reaktionen. Der letzte Teil (Kapitel 7) zeigt die Synthese der Metallazyklen [Cu₄(μ²-dppm)₄(CN)₂][X]₂ (X = TEF⁻ (2), BArCl⁻ (3)), ihre photophysikalischen Eigenschaften und die Reaktionen von 2 und 3 mit Pyridyllinkern und die daraus resultierenden Lumineszenzeigenschaften. Abschließend beinhalten Kapitel 8 weitere Ergebnisse die während der Arbeit entstanden sind.
