This thesis is devoted to the derivation and analysis of a novel bulk-surface Navier--Stokes--Cahn--Hilliard system describing the evolution of viscous fluid mixtures with dynamic boundary conditions. The model accounts for both bulk and surface phase-separation processes, incorporates convective effects, and allows mass exchange between the bulk and the boundary. In addition, it includes a surface Navier--Stokes equation to describe viscous flow and momentum transport along the boundary, motivated in particular by applications to biological membranes.

The derivation of the model is based on local mass-balance laws, local energy-dissipation principles, and a Lagrange-multiplier approach, yielding a thermodynamically consistent system with coupled bulk-surface dynamics.

The analytical part of the thesis comprises three components: a preliminary part and two main parts. In the preliminary part, we study a broad class of bulk-surface systems, including elliptic bulk-surface systems with nonlinearities or non-constant coefficients, as well as a bulk-surface Stokes-type system. These models appear frequently throughout the thesis as subsystems. We present a thorough well-posedness theory, including higher regularity of weak solutions and the existence of strong solutions.

In the first main part, we study a convective bulk-surface Cahn--Hilliard subsystem with prescribed velocity fields. For this system, we establish the existence, uniqueness, and higher regularity of weak solutions for both regular and singular free energy densities. For regular potentials, we employ a suitable Faedo--Galerkin scheme, while for singular potentials, the proof is based on an approximation scheme using the Yosida approximation. Moreover, we prove the propagation of regularity and separation properties for logarithmic-type potentials and a broad class of velocity fields. In the two-dimensional setting, we further obtain the uniqueness of weak solutions and the existence of global-in-time strong solutions under suitable assumptions on the mobility functions. Moreover, we analyze the long-time behavior of weak solutions, proving the existence of a minimal pullback attractor and convergence to equilibrium.

In the second part, we consider the full bulk-surface Navier--Stokes--Cahn--Hilliard system. Building on the results obtained for the convective bulk-surface Cahn--Hilliard subsystem, we prove the existence of a global-in-time weak solution via an implicit time-discretization scheme. In addition, we establish the existence and uniqueness of global-in-time strong solutions in two spatial dimensions using a semi-Galerkin approximation based on the eigenfunctions of a novel bulk-surface Stokes operator.
